First Post

My name is Russ Litten and I like typing. I have been a fan of typing since the mid eighties when I discovered a room full of typewriters at my old school. I liked the physical sensation of battering keys and making a noise like a machine gun, but spitting out words instead of bullets. After a bit of practice, I found I had a better aim with the former. And there was less chance of getting locked up or killed. 

Since leaving school I have done a variety of jobs, including bass player, window cleaner, puppet salesman, cold panel erector, teacher of english as a foreign language and radio advert writer. I am now a freelance typer and professional layabout. 

I intend to use this blog to flex me fingers of a morning, a kind of digital warm up, if you will. I can't promise that anything here will be of any benefit to anyone, but I will try and make it readable/provocative/vaguely amusing.
